Christmas Cookies

Grandmother’s Cookies

These cookies are the best and a total tradition for me at the holidays! My Grandmother made them when I was a child. She passed on and we lost the recipe but I remembered them so fondly. These delicious cookies have chocolate nestled as a wonderful surprise under the perfect dough with a pecan on top.

They are however not very healthy though I do use all organic ingredients now, which is why they are such a treat for the holidays.

I re-created the recipe about 10 years ago. After quite a bit trial and error I finally perfected the recipe, they are my Dad’s favorite. He get’s a box bull for Christmas every year. I have to make lot’s because he hides them from the rest of the family.
