Gratitude is Good for Your Health
I was at a seminar this weekend and an exercise we did had us focus on all the things we were grateful for. We spend about 3-4 minutes just stacking gratitude on gratitude. It was a blissful experience and the brain is definitely not able to focus on anything stressful or that you would normally be worried about. Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible.
I know for years Oprah has recommended keeping a gratitude journal. What a great practice to keep a log of all the things you are grateful for big and small. If you believe in what you focus on expands it makes sense to spend your time and energy on the things that are good in life and you are thankful for!
There is a movie called” Happy Thank You More Please” that says this saying is the key to a happy life.
I am very grateful to be able to help people to feel better with massage for my career, I am grateful I have the best clients, I am grateful for my husband he is awesome and for my health and my family’s health!
A Harvard study shows an association between gratitude and the subjects well being.
